10 Things You Didn’t Know About Taylor Swift

115

Taylor Swift is one of the most famous celebrities on the planet, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t still have a few surprises up her sleeve.

She’s only 23 years old, and already her estimated worth, according to Forbes, is over $220 million. With these amounts involved, you simply know that there are some things that are lurking in the background… There are many things about the star that aren’t yet widely known. Everybody knows that she starter her career at the age of 14, but did you know that she owns an airplane?

That’s why we put together this list of 10 things you didn’t know about Taylor Swift.

1. She Can’t See You

Most of her fans think she’s perfect, but Taylor Swift has at least one flaw. The pop princess wears contact lenses and sometimes even sports glasses.

Of course, now she can afford proper treatment and expensive glasses, but she recalls a time when she was in a store, looking to buy glasses, without much choice.

She ended up buying the ones that no one wanted, and in her own words they were the ugliest, biggest glasses that you could think of.

    What about Christian Bale??

  • broncosgirly311

REALLY? Taylor Swift is “flawed” because she wears contacts and *egads!* glasses?! Oh the horror! Anything but contacts and *gulp* glasses!!

  • Lea

Taylor Swift has a tattoo already.

    • ashwa86

      Google it, she does not.

  • Oliver

OMG! This young lady should be beaten with a whip and left outside for the vultures. I cannot believe how many people are vile. Taylor Swift is awesome in my book and let me tell you my book is pretty full. I’m 52 years old with two teenage daughters and I’m tickled pink that they listen to Taylor’s records than; Jay Z; Eminem (who I listen to when the girls are not home) or 2 quarters (50 cents). She has made her family proud and those that bash her are extremely jealous because she has done what most artists only dream of at her age. The way she handled getting the “Moon Man” from MTV and Kanye stepped up and stole the mick shows how mature she is. If that SOB came after me when I received an award to tell me I was not worthy. I would have kicked him in the balls. I love that Taylor sings about lost loves and heartbreak. It makes me feel better when my girls listen and I continue to practice what your preach. WAIT! your husband will come along, just be patient. Thank you Taylor for helping me teach my children with your songs that there is no hurry to get married or to lose their virginity!

    • soshesays

actually, she is a major snob. i know this personally. she ruined Watch Hill (RI) for the people that live there and the people that USED TO go there. NO ONE there likes her and most of them are really kind, old family money types, and many of them are even wealthier than her. she instructed her guards not to even let anyone walk on the BEACH in/by the WATER in front of her house. in fact i was man-handled by one of them, and i am a 25 year-old 5’4″ 98lb female. NOT. COOL. i’d understand if they were just patrolling around the house, since she is a celebrity, so no crazed fan or stalker tried to break in… but ordering your guards to manhandle anyone who tries to walk down by the water a few hundred feet away from her property is just ridiculous and uncalled for. her songs are one thing, and she acts sweet in front of the press, but you don’t know the girl when she’s out of the spotlight. one of her neighbors approached me after viewing the incident, and during the conversation mentioned that she’s pretty much crapped on everything Watch Hill and its’ residents stand for.

      • ugh

It’s HER property. She is allowed to do whatever she wants with it. She OWNS THE LAND!

        • Belle Ziggy

No one owns the beach an the water on the beach that i know.

      • mac

Because people who come from “old money” are universally respected for their good taste and tolerance of others right?

      • ed57

Well you could very well be right. I’m certainly no expert on her gut I do know that just because some person is “old family money types” they’re certainly nothing to be admired. Most of them “trust funders” we call them, haven’t a clue how the world works and are helpless as children. Inherited money spoils people for life.

      • albacore00

i live in RI and fish in WH quite often. her guards cannot kick you off that beach by state law. it’s stretch to say she’s crapped on everything WH stands for. I’ve worked for those old money people there and for the most part they are lonely and weird. WH is ruined every summer by the mucky mucks who arrive and don’t want the “little” people to have access to a beautiful place. when it’s off season no one cares.
I’m not an admirer of her music, kind of shallow and pedestrian for me.
I can understand the locals don’t want the attention to the area. she’ll probably sell when she gets bored with WH.

      • abigail

How do you know she ordered them? Did she come outside and say it? Guards sometimes get carried away by power and she may not have known orrrr your making stuff up

    • Alphonse Zreoux

      god, lady shut up…..

      • ash

I think Oliver is a guy….I’m not sure lol

        • Roland_the_Gunslinger

Yes, but Alphonse on the other hand…. ;)

    • Jennifer York

From multiple people who have had to deal with this pampered wench, she is a horrible person. Her “perfect persona” is delicately crafted by her PR. Left alone she would be in ruins. Spoiled rotten little girl!!

      • abigail

Never judge people you don’t know, it’s mean and hurtful. I think your’e jealous because you cant know someones horrible till you meet them and she not perfect, she just what you view as perfect.

    • disbeliever

      yeah Taylors a virgin alright

    • Khets Ndlovu

Your kids probably do listen to Jay Z, Eminem and 50 Cent behind your back. It’s normal

      • stinkerbell65

Let Oliver stay in LaLaLand. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. Yes, teen girls are sneaky, and yes, they may be listening to the stuff parents cringe over; but they are listening to the likes of Taylor Swift songs, and learning without making the same mistakes.

    • jason malinoski

You will never date her. Sorry to disappoint you.

    • R Charter

a lot of jay-z’s sounds to me are inspirational. He talks a lot about coming from the streets and being able to make it. Hard Knock Life is one song I particularly like for that reason.

    • Jennay<3forrest

And i got a thousands dollars that you are some type of religious zealot and taylor swft is as edgy as you get. If I am right which I probably am your poor daughters are most liekly smothered by you and, do all kinds of thing talyor swift does in the privacy of her multiple boyfriends hotel rooms.(nothing wrong with that btw) plus she is not talented have you heard her sing accustic? she cant and i make better poetry then her on my worst days, just saying . plus if she was really such a great role modle she would be doing lots of things to make this world a better place because she has the platform and youth to do it with. news flash shes not! one for all and all for her.

    • James Nimmons

you DO know awards shows are commercials…ie..fixed..

  • Tammy Blakely

Her voice sounds like nails scrapping across a chalk board!!

    • Hi ugly

      Your face is ugly.
      End of convo.

    • ColoMom

Then don’t listen, the rest of us will listen & enjoy the experience

      • evonne97

Nah, she really sucks. there is literally nothing impressive about her voice. It’s flat and boring, but that seems to be what goes for talent these days. SMH. And just like you are on here saying how much you like that crap, others are also free to say how they DON’T like it. Get over yourself.

        • ash

I really just think she doesn’t like the negative comments.

        • les342

You are so right. And there’s also the fact that all her songs sound like the lyrics were taken directly from a note that a 12 year old girl was passing to her friends in class. It’s childish crap.

        • Abigail

Well she wasn’t built to fit your expectations,I’m 16 years old and most of the people i know like her songs! Also the only “childish crap” is your hating.

        • big user

          Good one Abbey!

    • abigail

Your words are like nails on a chalkboard. I pity you.Only someone of low self esteem would put some one down like that.

  • 0utsp0ken

Can you say shallow, plastic, self absorbed serial tramp? Come on how many boyfriends has she blown through at such a young age? Pun definitely intended.

    • Victoria Cookies

Not to mention she doesn’t seem to be able to make a relationship work, even with a Kennedy! Something is VERY wrong with her, she’s just good at being coached before she goes in front of a camera.

      • ash

Oh wow, she’s had multiple boyfriends from 16-24 and NONE if them worked out?!? That’s the real world. Not everyone marries their first. And not everyone has just one marriage

      • Jonathan Miller

Kennedys are nothing but northern white trash. Sons of a bootlegger and gangster, and were rapists and murderers, Because they are dead is no reason to whitewash the things they did. Thank Ted Kennedy for Anchor Babies, rape and murder of a young woman. They used women like p.imps and not a single one of them could keep it in their pants.

    • Ally

shes not SHALLOW, she was a straight A student
NOT PLASTIC, her coming across as perfect doesn’t make her fake
SELF ABSORBED? Do you have any idea how many things she done for her fans?
SERIAL TRAMP? shes dated like 6 guys between the age of 15 and 24,if you thinks that’s being a tramp then the rest of the world is damned and were all headed to hell

      • assimilation

You’re right, she’s not shallow, she’s a straight A student.. You might want to look into what shallow means.. lollers.

    • william g munson

About as many as most young men her age. Double standards?

      • 0utsp0ken

Okay okay point taken and very true but I would call a male a whore just as fast and the “c” word too.Because it is not gender specific it is an acronym for Can’t Understand Normal Thinking and the sleazy slimy way male or female you chose to live your life. But point well taken,

    • big user

Are you trying to say she’s rich and famous? I used to say things like you just did until I got out of an unhappy job rut and found love. I suggest you do the same, because you sound so bitter.

      • 0utsp0ken

Not bitter just bored by people that take all this too seriously. Question for you though . . . what do being unhappy and in a rut with your job(unless you are a hooker) have to do with your finding love or that your new found love is an eternal gurantee of happiness or fulfilment? But thank you I appreciate your concern for my well being and wish you every happiness in your future.

  • Colin Knight

Your take on tattoos make me absolutely SICK
Kids should be sheltered from such judging assholes, not tattoos

    • NJGRAMMYOFTWINS

Tattoos, in my opinion, make those who wear them look cheap & trashy! What a disgusting way to wreck your skin & body! Have some respect for yourself & care about your body… I for one can’t wait to see this dumb ‘generations’ tattoos in 25-35 years! It’s going to be downright hilarious to see a rose bud on a breast turn into a long-stem rose sagging to a belly button! If God wanted our bodies defaced with tattoos he would have given us all one at birth! I’m always amazed that this tattooed & pierced generation still complains about not finding a job… Take a look at yourselves, who’d want to have their company’s represented by a nose & eyebrow pierced guy with tattoos everywhere? Grow up you bunch of spoiled entitled ninny’s!

      • Cecil Childers

Sounds like ALL you females are just a bit jealous of Taylor. More power to her for all the GOOD examples for other young people to have as a mentor. Must be doing something right for all the public to give her this much attention. GO Taylor…..

      • John Barry

i sure hope you never colored or styled your hair, or colored your nails, or styled your lashes, because if god wanted all these colors on your body, you would have been born that way…. Also, chances are, your doctor has at least one tattoo and/or piercing, and you might never even know, but i’m sure they’d thank you for your judgemental opinion as they laugh their way to the bank

        • big user

My doctor has seen too many patients who’ve wrecked their chances of a high -paying job to get those awful markings on his body.

        • John Barry

Yes, because your doctor totally risks his career by breaking Dr/Patient confidentiality by talking about his patients to other patients behind… What’s the Dr.’s name so i know who to report?

      • Charlie

Old and saggy skin will look ‘horrible’ regardless of whether there is ink on it so it really makes no difference, like anyone will worry what their skin looks like at that age and if that is a worry of yours then you mustn’t pay attention to the real issues in this world. Maybe you shouldn’t be so judgmental as it looks like piercings and tattoos are becoming more accepted as time goes on so your biased opinion won’t even be relevant in the future ;)!

      • Livia

From what I’ve read, ‘God’ gave humankind free will. So, if one wants a tattoo, they should be able to get one, no? Also, I think there is something about not sowing discord among brethern? I mean, if you are going to throw ‘God’ out there, you shouldn’t pick and choose things to validate your argument. It seems you are committing the sin of Pride. You know, the part where one believes they are better than others… I know doctors with full sleeve tattoos. Who have jobs and aren’t ‘dumb’. And tattoos aren’t cheap. So, without money, one can’t get a tattoo. I don’t think 25-35 years from now I’ll look at my tattoo and say, ‘God, that looks horrible.’ I think I’ll be saying, ‘I remember that day with my friends, it was a great day.’

        • abigail

          Actually….
Leviticus 19:28 says “You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord.” sooo yeah but i won’t judge people with tattoos even if i don’t like them and will never ever get one because in my mind i see it a wrong even if my brother and half the world gets one. Some tattoos are cute though

        • MalloryK

Does the bible say anything about perfection and how nobody’s perfect? Just wondering. If getting tatted is a sin hen what’s your sin? Find a bible verse about whatever that is and get back to me. All of you need to remember that everyone’s relationship with GOD (including sins and repentance for those sins) is their own. Overly judge bible, convenient bible quoting people like you are a major reason that people shy away from church right now.

        • Bill Milner

I’m sure that’s exactly what you will say because that’s the best you can do.

        • Kimberly Griffin Pearson

          Bravo Livia!

      • shay

        i bet your racist too

      • LacyLavender1

I agree with you about tattoos! I know older people who deeply regret getting their tattoos and also people who have passed away and truly regretted the tattoos they got when they were young and they do get very ugly and nasty looking as the skin ages. That is one reason they regret them and also how their views in life changed as they aged and they don’t want their children to follow the example of the poor choices they made when they were young that made their bodies look ugly and marked them in society and kept them from getting a job they wanted. You won’t be the same person in 10 or 20 years that you are now. God also says in His Word NOT to put tattoos on our bodies! Our bodies belong to Him and are a temple for Him to live in if He is in your life and if He’s not, you should have respect for your own body just because it’s yours. I think, as do so many others I have talked to, that tattoos make people look trashy and dirty! It’s not art by any means. Art can be hung on a wall! I’ll change my clothes to express myself. Life changes, and what you like today, you most likely won’t like 10 years from now. The sad thing today is that so many of the younger generation have NO respect for themselves and they especially have NO respect for others either. They’re selfish! Some don’t even respect their own little children! They do things around their children that children should not have to live with and it’s abuse in all actuality. You’re right about the job thing too. To Livia, tattoos can be really inexpensive. I knew some people who tattooed themselves and their friends and it didn’t cost much at all and prison tattoos aren’t very costly either. A face full of hardware sure isn’t very attractive! The popular thing is not always the right thing to do and the right thing to do is not always the popular thing. Who wants to be a sheep and follow the crowd? I sure don’t and I never have. Dare to be different and stand out above the crowd! Good on Taylor for not getting a tattoo. I hope she keeps that attitude!

        • MalloryK

Why didn’t they get them removed?

        • Tim

Two things I know about God:
          1. He doesn’t exist.
          2. He didn’t write the Bible.

Ergo, whatever it says in the Bible is not “God’s word,” but instead are the (completely antiquated) beliefs of a group of mystery authors.

      • iSharpe

why don’t you go eat some s@#t and die? i have many tattoos, and, I own a very successful business.. so… how are they detrimental to success?

        • abigail

Wishing death on anyone is bad but i guess your’e parents didn’t teach you that although i’d assume its common sense but i guess you were’nt gifted with that oh so common talent

        • tbetter1

I am a 64 year retired female insurance executive. I have two well placed tattoos that were not visible when I wore business attire but that was my choice. I think it is perfectly fine if a person has tattoos. It’s nobody business but their own!

        • big user

You’re an exception to the rule. Most tatted guys are low-wage earners with criminal records. MOST ,I said, not all.

      • Tatfan

Some folks he did! Except they are birthmarks! Do you look at those folks in disgust? For the most part they are not seen, but a lot of folks have revealing birthmarks! I myself have 3 birthmarks and 1 tattoo and I believe where it is located in 25-35 years it will still look like Winnie the Pooh! I don’t believe they wreck your skin, they tell a story about who you are. Just because you don’t want your story told, then don’t bash or judge us that do. I have a friend who lost a loved one in a war zone. He had a tattoo of this person put on his body, now does that make him TRASHY or CHEAP? I know folks who have lost children and had their footprints or hand prints or even a picture of that child on their body. Does that make them TRASHY or CHEAP? Why don’t you take the time to find out the story behind some of the tats before you go judging folks who have them. One question for you, Are your ears pierced? Some would say that’s a body desecration. Maybe you should delete this comment if your ears are pierced. JS!!

      • nataliababy

I hate to admit that you`re absolutely right my friend.

      • Mikal Gastpipe

You know what I enjoy MOST about tattooed idiots? After they turn 40, give or take, and their tattoos start SAGGING and making them look MORE horrible than even THEY can imagine. THAT’S when the REAL self loathing (and FUN) starts!

        • MalloryK

I don’t think I’ve ever met a 40 year old with saggy skin. Unless they lost a lot of weight. 40 is actually not as old as you think it is my friend.

      • ASDFKLLFJFJ

Dumb generation? You got that cometely wrong. We’re allowed to make mistakes and if we want to have tattoos, that’s completely fine because that’s a way of expressing yourself. Also, if you’re saying that the next generations are going to get dumber, look at yourself, look at the facts. Generations ago someone invented tattoos, so that people can express theirselves. Body piercings are also a way of expressing yourself. What is so wrong about having tattoos and piercings, what matters is who you are, how you act, and if you actually try in life. If anything you’re the one who needs to grow up because sure, people might be more stereotypical, but that’s the way their brought up, by older generations. I’m only 13 and I don’t consider myself ‘dumb’ because I actually know what I want to do in life, how I’m going to do it, and so on. So what if I have ear piercings, it doesn’t even matter! You can easily take them out!

    • big user

Kind of a hypocritical staement there. Calling someone a-hole while knocking judgemental comments. Why do so many companies have “No visible Tattoos” rules for jobs? And look at your successful people whose job requires them to interact with people. Not too many sporting the “Mark of the Felon” or Biker or Gangbanger. Tell me these category of people are not predominantly tattooed?

  • Jennifer York

Did we forget how she sues anyone who might damage her rep… she had a fit at Aeropostale for some shirt “more boyfriends than Taylor….” pfffsst….

    • Daniel Wise

That was her fans. They started a petition.

    • Crystal

that wasn’t Taylor she had no part in that at all.

    • bobby bobby

I think that suing shit is just more bullshit from the tabloids. As for the shirt it was her diehard fans that did that although i could understand if she was upset that shirt was BS.

  • Not impressed

These so called Hollywood stars are legends in their own minds, they are just overpaid fools who think they have talent. The best thing people can do is boycott them stop buying their stuff, they need to be sent back to the real world where they came from. Stop paying attention to them stop worshiping at their feet and they will quickly get the message.

    • southernbear

Do I detect some jealousy? LOL

      • The Disciple

no its reality. when you have to sleep with 2342342342 guys a year to get material for your music you dont got any talent.

and its funny how singers call themselves “artists” when they dont even write any of their own music like justin bieber. and they go around calling themselves artists or people call them artists. youre not an artist bitch ur just a “singer” someone else is the artist and youre just the instrument they use.

        • toni raska- Sams

I agree. I never thought Swift was too much of anything.

      • toni raska- Sams

No, I think you are detecting someone true opinion

  • ed57

A very intelligent, talented and thoughtful gal. Just wish she’d dispense with all the makeup and jewelry and look more natural. And maybe exercise a little more. I bet she’s beautiful underneath, certainly she’d seem more real!

    • Victoria Cookies

Exercise MORE?! Have you not noticed she is VERY thin, and doesn’t need to impress an old fart like YOU. She’s also a spokes person for Cover Girl, so she will ALWAYS wear her signature red lipstick.

      • ed57

Being just “thin” is not necessarily appealing to many of us. And not just “old farts” like me. if you don’t have a little muscular shape to your arms, legs and booty! Maybe to other women?

      • Marvin P.

“Exercise” doesn’t automatically mean “she’s fat.” If anything, she needs to GAIN weight, as in, some muscle mass and tone. Not that her body is really relevant or anything. Sounds like, to me, you’re projecting your own body issues.

  • Mickey Logan

    Never heard of her.

  • John Whittingon

Taylor swift has 220 million dollars and a lot of friends !!! How about you people who are jealous?

    • les342

I’m not jealous. I’m just really sad that this, along with Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and way too many other pop princesses to name, is what popular “music” has come to these days. I’m in my mid-thirties, but one of the things I’m grateful to my parents for, is that they taught me what real music is.

      • emily fields

you’re such a hipster there’s no such thing as real music bc not everyone is forced to like the same music, narrow minded much

  • JB

Does anyone ever put 2 and 2 together and get how old SHE was when she was supposedly dating John Mayer and how old HE was at the time? Where the hell are her parents? Star or not, I have 4 daughters and like hell one of my under 18 daughters is dating a 26 year old. But come on, something’s wrong with this girl. The way she goes through boyfriends and then beats them up in public says something isn’t all right with this young lady. Of course she’s incredibly talented, no denying that, but she fiercely needs an incredible amount of attention.

    • ash

18 is the legal age. If she is mature and he is mature then so be it. Age is just a number right? You can’t help who you love…whether she felt like she loved him or not. Jeeeezus. Your judgement is ridiculous. Open your mind

      • John Barry

he said under 18, however i agree with you on the legal age thing because technically she was 20 when she started dating john mayer, or at least that’s my understanding

      • LacyLavender1

Age is NOT just a number. There are years and experience that go with each of the number of years of someone’s age and yes they DO make a difference!

      • Jon Higgins

        Oh, you’re one of those.

    • ash

And dating doesn’t mean sex. So I don’t see the problem

      • jason malinoski

ash, ash, where are you? The real world is here and waiting for you……..

        • Trina

If the real world implies that dating means sex then i don’t wanna be part of it

        • Jenn

          Maybe you can join Taylor

        • big user

          That’s why you’re lonely.

    • Marvin P.

Actually, her “level of talent” is seriously subjective. I think she sounds like crap. I work in concert security and though never had to deal with her backstage (unlike the horrors that is Katy Perry or Demi Lovato), I can definitely tell you she lives in her own world. She is anything but grounded and down-to-Earth. Ironically, Beyonce (who I worked a show with in Atlantic City) is for the most part, FAR more talented, and yet, a lot nicer and grounded than Swift. Since I didn’t interact with her personally, I can’t tell you how awful or not she truly is. But she’s definitely, at the very least, living in her own world.

      • Toya Harvey

Oooh, what was Demi, like to work with?

      • Twyla Tharp

Hmm Be-yawn-ce is better than Taylor… Is that you Kanye?

        • Marvin P.

I don’t even like Beyonce’s music. (All her songs are just about how much men suck and how women “don’t need no man.”) I’m a guy and I just turned 27. I don’t listen to any of these women. I can assure you I’m judging these people purely by who they are as human beings. Beyonce was more down to Earth than most of them. Only Lady Gaga was nicer when she performed at the Wells Fargo Center.

Jay-Z lives in his world and thinks he’s a god. I worked both Made In America shows with him in September 2012 and 2013 (2012 was a WAY better show).

The worst people I worked a show with was Katy Perry (she thinks anyone who isn’t happy and shiny and smilely messed with her “mood” and “creativity”), Demi Lovato (who is fake as hell and doesn’t give a shit about her fans passing out in 100 degree heat, or shwoing up on time), and Dropkick Murphys (who aren’t bad as people, but pretty much encourage the audience to riot against us.) Oh, and One Direction is pretty bad, too. They can’t even get the name of the cities they’re in right.

Taylor Swift literally has no concept of humilty, kind of like Jay Z or Kanye. She thinks she’s above us mere mortal humans. Her people probably hype her ego up, adding to it, too. This isn’t even me “trash talking” on her; I’m just telling you what’s up. I can imagine it must be hard to stay normal when you’re that rich and successful at that age.

      • James Nimmons

Beyonce is cheap. using the spaceshuttle explosion like she did..screw her..

      • toni raska- Sams

I think her level of entertainment is B rated. She is not that good, not that talented, not that attractive and very dull to watch. She actually bores most people . She is a dull normal trying to be more singing about superficial garbage. I never like Swift in any way.

      • sorrylew

You can definitely tell that they use auto-tune on her recordings, because she sounds “flat” when she sings live.

    • B1959

My father in law married his wife when she was 16 and he was 25. They were married 45 years before he died and raised 5 very nice kids.

  • JB

She’s one of those very cute very pretty “adorable” types, but she’s not “sexy” per se….though ANY girl can find a guy to give them attention….

    • 0utsp0ken

A type personality control freak, high strung, brittle and betting she is one high maintenance squeaky little Miss Perfect.

  • junir

I’m not commenting on anything else but wow, owning a plane at 23 when I don’t even own a car at the same age is pretty damn impressive. Bravo Taylor.

  • Leann Mitchell

Honestly, I didn’t even read the article but I read many of the comments. Who cares what kind of person she is? She’s still human. Judge yourselves before you judge anyone else. No one is better than the other, famous or not. We’re all born, live, make decisions through life, and eventually die.

    • Jen

Don’t act like you’ve never judged anyone. It’s a part of human nature.

      • Britt

THANK YOU! true words, people. we all judge, even the ones we worship.

        • Greg Vinson

I don’t worship anyone, but I agree we all judge. However, it is stupid to judge people you will probably never know, based on what some gossip site says about them. Judge yourselves before others is good advice, although I do think some people are “better” than others, in how they choose to behave.

    • James Nimmons

this is why you should read the article..everyones talking about the author not Taylor

  • Glenda

“Also, this speaks to her efforts to steer at least some of out youth in the right direction.”

There are some awesome people with tattoos. Having tattoos doesn’t automatically mean you’re a bad person. That is a terribly ridiculous assumption.

    • Selene

I was about to post the same thing

    • DEGoodman

      Thanks Glenda

    • Andreas

Tattoos were cool a long time ago. Now they are ridiculous. imo and many others so suck it up.

      • Jenn

Only because most people are idiots (but you should know that, right?), and they get ridiculous fad tattoos. Don’t let a bunch of fools ruin the beauty of the art…

        • Andreas

What I do know there are many different reasons for getting Tattoos, some of those reasons being mental health. Don’t get me wrong. A little tat to come across as edgy/badgirl/toughguy is ok I guess, but why the need to share? “beauty of the art” that is my skin. A marvel in itself without colouring/damaging it.

        • Greg Vinson

Who are you to judge? Don’t do it if you don’t like it, but putting people down for how they choose to decorate their own body is way more uncool of you than any fashion (short of a symbol of hate) could possibly be, whether it’s in or out, good art or bad. Who the fuck cares? Look away if you don’t like it.

        • Andreas

When I’m eating breakfast and a server comes over pouring me a glass of Orange Juice the last thing I want to see is their nasty azzz tattoo.

        • MalloryKnoxx

Then eat somewhere else. Stay in your house with the blinds closed. Noone is gonna change who they are to make your ass comfortable. What if someone didn’t like your hair, your clothes, or your personality (bet you can relate to that last one, huh)? I doubt you would give a shit. Stop judging people! Live and let live.

        • James Scarlott

ah Herein lies the problem, an the owner of the restaurant doesn’t want you eating somewhere else, I have 3 Tats myself and I can tell you right or wrong it’s cost me at more than 1 job interview, now maybe I don’t want to work for a bigot anyway. but “You will never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression”

        • Zeke Bussell

Bet you can relate to that last one too…

        • Mary Dobbs

wow, I hope you can get a grip on your anger and rage

        • bgolfguy

Mallory, you are grossly ignorant of the realities of life. If you decide to cover yourself in tattoos, multiple piercings, gauge earrings, etc. You are almost guaranteeing yourself a life of limited opportunities.

If you want to express yourself as an “Individual”, that is fine and your choice. However, don’t complain when others decide to make a choice and not hire you.

When it comes to ear piercings especially, the saying holds true. “The bigger the gauge, the lower the wage”.

        • James Nimmons

stop eating at your moms then and cook your own shit.

        • shootmyownfood

Who pours orange juice with their behind?

        • big user

You might have had a valid arguement until you dropped the “F-Bomb.” Way to show us you’ve run out of intelligence.

        • NotaTroll

I always find it funny when people go on the ‘you said a curse you must be unintelligent’

There are many words in the English language, the word that you shall not name because you’re better than everyone, just so happens to be a very fitting one, in that situation, and probably in this one.

          Kindly F-Bomb off.

        • Naoma Foreman

I think one of the most stupid comments in the English language is “the F Bomb” — this is a perfectly legitimate word which is
a noun, adjective, verb,, etc. — and very useful.

        • Zeke Bussell

Who are you to judge? Andreas has an opinion that many people share. Why is that such a big deal to you?

        • annon

So Greg is judgmental but Andreas isn’t?

Or is it just okay when Andreas is because you agree with them?

        • jane

          wow what an ignorant fool.
i have 3 degrees and a smashing career and have NEVER had anyone as little as roll eyes over my tattoos.
maybe YOU are too stupid to be tolerant of people. tolerance comes with eduction and smarts. this is YOUR trauma and sufference, don’t call someone else on YOUR issues.

        • Andreas

          r u from the UK?

oh, and your reply is a good indicator of little education.

        • Andreas

maybe you should be more tolerant of intolerant people

        • sorrylew

I don’t have a tattoo. But tattoos are the norm now. I don’t have a problem with them. I think you need to chill and quit being so judgmental.

        • Mary Dobbs

isn’t it interesting that the people who are the nastiest, angriest and most aggressive in this discussion have tats? doesn’t matter how many “degrees” you, clearly you are lacking in basic manners. Hmmm maybe there is a subliminal need for tats with someone is harboring extreme anger..

        • skippyxxx

          art, you mean fart!

      • The Disciple

there “ridiculous” cause everyone getting them to try and be “cool” or just because there look demands it like a rocker dude has to get tattoos cause hes a rocker etc.

tattoos are meant to represent something truly meaningful and important and not jsut a fashion statement or something to get attention for.

        • daffyducknj

Haha, that’s what my brother thought of me! He assumed that just because I’m a fan of metal music (and the more extreme forms at that, like death, grindcore, black, etc.), I’d have a tattoo or two by now at the ripe young age of 38. I don’t have any, while he has a few.

I don’t even have piercings of any sort.

I used to have really long hair, though. Finally cut it all off 1 1/2 years ago for a much shorter ‘do after 2 decades of having it long! I’ll probably grow it back out somewhat when it’s all gray. :)

        • sorrylew

That’s why I don’t have one… I looked. But I never found one that JUMPED out at me and made me say, “I’ve gotta have this.” Hell, tattoos were done on my kitchen table back in the 80′s. But I don’t deny anyone the right to sport one. I don’t care what it looks like.

      • BlogZilla

I feel the same way. Tattoos are so tired and played out. Now you see them everywhere, and please, most of the designs are just downright dreadful. The only ones that look good the tatts on people that have nice bodies and who choose good designs. Most of them are way overdone, or the designs are bad, bad colors, bad placement

        • James Nimmons

the only ones that look good are ones on people taht arent stupid.. .you superficial ass.

        • Zeke Bussell

Who’s the superficial one here? You’re the one calling someone an ass just for expressing their opinion. I think that you, sir, are the ass here.

        • annon

But you are doing the same exact thing… What is it with people, you give them a keyboard, and when they mimic behavior they act like they are above everyone.

        • BlogZilla

You want to talk superficial? I’m not the one getting a tattoo only to get them removed 5 years down the road. Tattoos say something very specific about the people getting them. Low lives love self-mutilation. People with tattoos cannot donate blood

        • ANON

I have tattoos and donate blood often as i have a rare blood group. And 1 of them i’ve had for over 5 years. Never once have i considered having it removed. What exactly do tattoos say about the person? That they have different interests to others? Different ways of expressing themselves, different views or beliefs? If so, why is that such a bad thing? After all, who wants to be the same as everyone else? And how dare you refer to tattooed people as self-mutilating low-lives, who are you to make such a claim? Try and appreciate individuals and the appearance altering decisions we make. Whether that be tattoo, piercing, sex change or elaborate hair colour, you don’t have to beat our drums but don’t beat us into the ground because of it.

        • cheyenne

Most people don’t get tattoos thinking about the likes of shallow people such as yourself. It is a personal decision that doesn’t need the opinions of others.

        • sorrylew

So when you say you feel the same way… do you mean that you are intolerant of people with tattoos or do you just thank they’re “played-out”?

        • BlogZilla

I just think they are played out. Kind of like the word “awesome”. or “like”. Some people use those words too much. Tattoos used to seem special, now almost everyone has them. A clean empty body palette still looks best to me. I’ve only seen a few tattoos I like. Most of them I don’t, because the designs, placement and colors are terrible

One thing interesting about people with tattoos is they seem to be very sexual. They’ll deny it to no end, but it’s true.

      • James Nimmons

rdiculous tatts are ridiculous..there are still cool ones..on cool people that like cool things

        • sorrylew

ha ha ha ha ha…. good one

      • Psychopathic Asshole

With only rare exceptions my observation has been that tattoos are badges of low self esteem and poor judgement. Previously pretty much limited to sailors, prison inmates, and the mentally ill, a kind of herd mentality has gone mainstream as a fad with the practice, and the herd mentality doesn’t understand that fads always fade. Tattoos fade too, they also smear and blur with age and only ever get uglier than the original ugliness they started out with. They are terribly expensive to have removed when you finally grow up and get sick of them, and the removal process often leaves scars — but at least those aren’t usually as ugly as the tattoos they replaced. There is no FDA oversight or any other responsible oversight of the chemicals allowed to be used in tattoo dyes, so they can be made of anybody’s concoctions of almost anything. You might as well live next to a toxic waste dump if having yourself tattooed is as little as you care about getting nasty shit into your body. Inviting it in, even. This kind of poor judgement seems to me corroborated by the high proportion of tattooed imbeciles who also present as tobacco smokers, using a drug more harmful to the body than heroin. As a sometimes-employer when I interview someone with tattoos I have to ask myself if I really need to deal with the excess baggage such narcissistic emo characters bring with them along with their piercings and stretchings and scarrings and other acts of self-mutilation displaying to the world how much they value their own bodies, their own health, their own sense of self-worth.

Having realized these obvious things about the fad-driven herd mentality we see in all the tattooed twits among us, it’s important to understand that there are occasional exceptions to the above. Rare exceptions. Some astronauts have had red dots tattooed at top and bottoms of their spines for example so their spinal elongation could be measured during and after spaceflight (they get a little taller in space by an inch or so). That’s a case where the pluses outweigh the minuses. Holocaust survivors didn’t get tattooed willingly so their tattoos are no reflection upon their character and judgement. If a hot chick only gets a little daisy or butterfly tattooed onto one ankle, she’ll probably still be pretty much a hot chick afterward (but not if she gets a tramp stamp over her ass, no way). And there are probably even cases where tatoos can make an otherwise very dull person somewhat more interesting. There’s no reason not to tattoo your dog or cat with ID so if they get lost they might be returned to you, dogs and cats live such short lives anyway they’re not likely to live significantly shorter lives by the toxins in tattoos. It’s also probably far less cruel to tattoo a food animal rather than brand it (if they still even do that) but it seems intuitive that the psychopathic meat industry that doesn’t give a damn about animal cruelty is most likely to use whatever tagging method is cheapest; and anyone who doesn’t mind the pain and suffering they cause those animals by eating meat in the first place isn’t likely to care about a little excess cruelty either. We live in a cruel world where many ‘ordinary’ people do bestial things to the animals and other people around us, with some of them feeling so valueless that they do bestial things to their own selves.

Bottom line: if you have prominent gaudy tattoos all over you don’t be walking around thinking you’re impressing anyone, walk around in the awareness that you are displaying to everyone what a loser you are. You might as well tattoo a big L on your forehead while you’re at it because that’s what many many people see in your tattoos already. Not the herd you belong to of course, they will ooh and ahh over your ‘body art’ self-deformities and make you feel like one of the group. Which you need to feel because otherwise you’d never imagine yourself doing something so toxic and ugly to yourself if you were the only one in the world to do it. But what will you do when the fad fades like your ugly tattoos eventually will, if they haven’t started to already? Will you be able to afford the removal costs? These are the kinds of questions every person should ask themselves if they ever get peer-pressured to get themselves tattooed. Following peer pressure is for losers, folks. Be your own person, respect your body, don’t follow the herd, that’s a worthy way to live your life instead.

        • TheLastOfUs

That’s really judgemental.Whats gives you the right to tell someone they cant be theme selves. How can you tell someone how to live their life, you cant. That’s whats so wrong with you people now, you hate and despise everything that’s different cause you don’t understand. Because you are close minded and ignorant. If someone gets a tattoo and you don’t like it don’t shame them into thinking they are any less of a person, just because you are immature and don’t understand. You should be proud how they want to express themselves in such a way that they get that expression inked on their body to remember it forever. Most people get tattoo’s for a reason, like to remember the death of a loved one, or to get a symbol of something that means a lot to them.I agree some people get tattoo’s out of drunken mistakes, or just to get one to get one. which is not smart because ONLY those people will regret getting their tattoos. Getting a tattoo is not following “the herd” calling people stupid, losers, telling them they are mental,or bad people is following the herd of being ignorant, boring, judgemental, arrogant, pricks and no one enjoys or wants those people around them. You might as well tattoo “Judgemental Asshole” on your forehead. At least that tattoo will actually mean something.
Times are changing whether you like it or not. People are more into expressing themselves and honestly not giving any fucks to what you have to say.You can say all you want now but your ignorance will lead you nowhere but six feet under, with not a soul missing you.

        • CandylessMan

I won’t candy coat this…. You sir, are a very insecure person, painting insecurites in others to make yourself feel better about whatever it is.

Either that or you are a complete asshole.. Although, in reality you’re probably a 50/50

        • sorrylew

What do you expect from someone with a username of “psychopathic Asshole?

        • sorrylew

Yea… there’s people dropping like flies from getting tattoos.

    • big user

How many tattoos do you have, Glenda? Its just a generalization. Ask any cop about the percentage of people they arrest who have tattoos. And then ask yourself what percentage of the population that earns over $250K have tattoos. (rockers excluded, of course, we’re talking mainstream, normal people who worked their way up to success!)

      • Coma 616

My father was worth millions and had a couple tattoos. When he became successful he wanted to get rid of the visible one on his arm.

    • cowcharge

Putting a tattoo on a woman is like scribbling on the Mona Lisa with crayons.

  • clete

She’s weird and i think she’s another illuminati mind controlled slave for the NWO.Gives me the heebies.

    • jason malinoski

      Aren’t we all, though?

  • ?

her brother actually attends notre dame

  • Jon Weiss

I do get a chuckle at reading the synopsis of these so called stars. It is somewhat tragic though, that these pinheads don’t actually have some contact with reality. For example, the article claims that “Taylor Swift is one of the most famous celebrities on the planet”, yet a music video used to play on one of the LED TVs on display where I worked in retail, and I saw that video, daily, for nearly a year, and did not know who she was, since I really didn’t care. Well known? Perhaps, but only to those who live in the fantasy land of Hollywierd.

  • (._. )

My aunt went to school with her, they were really good friends, my grandma says she’s an angel, but I want to meet her myself to see if she lives up to that. I know that behind closed doors, even the best angels can be the most wicked devils

  • James Lawson

I’m sorry, but I just have to say that Taylor Swift is a class act. She showed up at Auburn university when someone asked her to, knowing that she probably wouldn’t. I can’t believe you’d even think about giving her a hard time. Back off of her.

  • you missed some thing

You forgot that she uses hit-songwriting ghost writers. That anyone else with a similar sound was dropped from her label. And also, she can’t sing. At least you kind of got the one about her dad financing her label.

  • Prof321

If they’re all such great actors, why can’t they learn to act nice?

  • whocares

Who would have guessed that Hollywood stars are pretentious a holes. I’m shocked I tell you.

  • Jaime

I think the writer of the article meant to say that she looks a lot like her maternal grandmother, not her grandmother looks like her. That’s back asswards.

  • Jaime

She should work on her posture. Stand up straight and be proud of her height.

  • L

I used to love her music, but I think she was better suited as more country than pop. Plus, I grew out of it all when I was twelve. However, I do respect her for not becoming some kind of… well, at least she isn’t trying to twerk her way to fame. She may not have the most talent, but she is respectable. Even after nine years in the spotlight, she hasn’t made as many questionable decisions as some. She’s nowhere near my favorite, but I do think she deserves some respect. She is, of course, not perfect, but no one is, and though she does screw up, from what I’ve seen, she tries.

  • shay

shes steering kids in the right direction by not getting tattooed? really? like getting a tattoo will automatically doom that child to a life of imprisonment? thats just a little discriminatory, is it not?

    • tom

graffiti is vandalism, and tattooing is (fashionable) graffiti. to be wearing a fashion statement for the rest of your life isn’t imprisonment, or is it?

      • MalloryK

Not when it’s your body and your decision and your happy with it. Hell these days you can even get those old things removed, Tom…

Tatts and piercing are a sign of mental illness. The amount of aberration is conversely proportional to the amount of ink or mutilation. A small tatt is not emblematic of severe psychosis, but not entirely rational either. Using ones body as a canvas for graffiti is thoughtless, self loathing and a repulsive way to garner attention. There are other ways of being noticed that are not permanent. So to use temporary examples of hair or nail coloring is incongruent with the facts. Just because many do it does not makes it normal…just idiotic conformance to trends for acceptance by the group. Sad, but no leaders here.

  • Gracie Saccardo

She is a beautiful girl….but acting like a mean person….karma will be coming for you

  • ITBLOO

I don’t like tattoos, especially on females. My GF wanted to get a big ass tattoo on her smooth, beautiful thigh. I begged and begged her not to. I told her she’s in such great shape, and she has beautiful skin. That is your physical art.
Be a temporarily canvas of a woman walking the world and show how you are special. Getting inked up doesn’t impress me. I’ve seen way too many women ruin their presence by hiding under dozens of tattoos. It doesn’t impress me. It turns me off. If you want to write a story, use a word processor. In most cases, nobody can tell what the hell you’re trying to say anyway. This isn’t rebellion, it’s following others instead of being your own person.
Just the opinion of one worried father of a 22 year old who as of now is still ink free.

  • Ringring-homophone

Oh wow some of these comments… Okay I’d like to freely state my opinion on Taylor Swift. Now I don’t even care if you disagree with me because it’s my opinion.
She reminds me of Britney Spears, with the constant need for attention. The need to incredulously bash others without proper think of the following consequences. Yes I am talking about all of her 14 or so boyfriends. That also includes yes Harry Styles, but he isn’t the only one she’s bashed on. John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, and others. Well I don’t know about you people, but I do not, and will not call any of her actions justified. Dissing people at award shows when they haven’t said anything whatsoever besides, “Yeah she’s lovely.”
    Yes I am a directioner.
Now don’t think, “Well you’re only saying that because she dated him!!11! It’s just because you have some stupid shit fantasy of him actually dating you!11′!” No.
I’m saying that because that’s what I’ve said since she basically first started. Hell, in my opinion she only is famous because Kanye pulled that shit thing, and good on her for handling it well, but it doesn’t give her rights to diss others at award shows. Plus you know, I would’ve liked her if she was dating Harry *and* was a good person. I’m a Larry shipper what can I say, I think personally the relationship was fake, and all the insults were for her *slightly edgy but still sweet* image change. It’s all just a PR stunt, and she’s probably a real pain in the ass, and like one guy said, “Living in her own world.” Like Beiber, but with feigned sweetness. Now don’t go saying, “omg you can’t judge her, you probably don’t have a job because you have tattoos!!1!!” No.
I’m fourteen, and yes I plan on getting one tattoo because I’m scared of needles(reminder of something important incase I get Alzheimer’s), and yes I do spend all day online and have no social life. Insult me further I dare you.
I liked her when she first came out, and then the hole, “He broke my heart, and now I’m sad.” Bit got kind of old for my taste. Plus if you want your daughters to listen to that stuff, okay. Don’t come crying online when she gets to be a bit older, and won’t stop crying because her boyfriend of a week dumped her. Yes music is a language, and a learning tool. It is also used as a mood enhancer, and therapy tool. Let’s face it though her stuff is repetitive, and she shouldn’t even be counted as country anymore. To be honest, I don’t even like country, and it makes me mad. Like I don’t even know why, but she’s trying to be pop, and she’s trying to be country and then she mixes it up and it sounds bad, at least with her sound it does. Why didn’t she do like Carrie Underwood did and played it safe. Stay on her side of the room. Plus the messages are not good. Kids *can* learn from music, and Taylor’s messages (if taken in abundance) can not be healthy. Teaching people to be overly attached, and needing someone rather than being independent and finding yourself as a single person standing on your own. Honestly, I’d have my children listening to Punk(no I’m not bashing on punk, I frequent it actually, now stop trying find ways to insult me and read) more than her. Then finally for the last time, tattoos do not define you. My dad has a lot and along with that, a job, a house, and a steady girl friend. Not to mention two loving kids. So there’s my opinion on the whole controversial subject. Whew had to get it out sorry.

  • GovSlacker

The only surprise on this list is Ed Norton. Still, unlike the others, he is a good actor. ok maybe the Aussie is good. He was great in Cinderella Man. Paltrow leaves me cold. Always has. I don’t know why people think she is a good actress. Taylor is no surprise. Anyone who writes songs about men (boys) she has sl ept with is a jerk.

  • Frankie Addiego

I’d like to date Taylor Swift just to see what she’d write about me.

  • Marie

her brother goes to Notre Dame. My brother goes there and he said Austin was a total douche

  • Dillonger

god what kind of 20 year old needs all that money? shes just a MARKETING item….her voice aint even that good so what the fuck

  • Amanda

Does anyone think that maybe, just MAYBE these relationships haven’t worked out because the famous guys she’s dated may have pushed too hard, too fast to get her to sleep with them? That MAYBE she has values and won’t turn into the typical tramps people see?? Those who say she isn’t talented are just jealous. Grow up and get over yourselves!

  • alexis

WHO CARES WHO LIKES TAYLOR SWIFT OR NOT? Everyone has their own opinions about her, and that is OKAY. What isn’t okay is having the audacity to disrespect eachother because of these opinions.

  • Joe Mahma

That’s the best you could come up with? Taylor Swift purposely dates guys with the idea of dishing them in song. Her Idol is Stevie Nicks. I can’t be the only one whose figured out exactly why she idolized Stevie, her greatest work was writing songs about her failed relationships. She’s a smart kid, she has her PR people working overtime instigating feuds for her to get into.I honestly look at her award clip nowadays and say…was that thing between her and Kanya staged? Like a WWE encounter?

  • Star_Climber

“It wouldn’t look good if she turned up all tattooed on some charity event.” – I call bullshit!

  • Sam G Jr

That she’s a high drama chick that doesn’t like sex? No thanks sweetheart.

  • Armand Heart

she can SING, great voice, just not my genre.

  • jmi0112

And she’s a chain smoker. Funny how they never get a vid or pic of that. Media darling.

  • frankenweeny

Possibly one of most beautiful women on earth

  • Jackie

Anyone notice some grammar problems in this article? Not to mention that the article had some irrelevant topics just to fulfill a cap. Come on guys be smarter. This is an entertainment article so they write anything to entertain you! Some of you guys are quick to judge. She comes from Tennessee where people carrie different values than different areas of the country so she doesn’t portray tattoos like other people. (It’s her opinion, get over it). She dates lots of guys (well have you seen her younger days? I doubt she dated back then), it’s her choice! If she does or doesn’t sleep with them it’s not your business. How many are in your list? And so you know, I dated without sleeping with them. I have friends who were the same. There are still people who carrie values! (I don’t know if she did or does the same, I don’t care!) I think you have better things to do. I have better things to do. Stop hating so much! Don’t come with the B*** Sh** that it’s human nature! It does not make it ok. People with that thinking are the people who don’t move ahead in life. I hope the people that said that are still in their teens because it’ll make more sense.

  • I’m just sayin…

Y in “Fan girl” slide # 7 she pictured with Ellen & Portia….& the list of her role models includes quite a different view of those she’s a true fan…

  • Bananaville

Gorgeous and talented. She also gives a LOT of money to charity.

  • NeverMind o.O

    Seriously? It’s you’re, not “your”!
“Another interesting fact is that Austin and his friends often appear in Taylor’s music videos as extras, so next time your watching one of her videos try to spot him.”

  • Virginia Scanlan

Did a ten year old write these comments? A “huge” eleven acre farm? Also odd sentence construction.

  • ThisIsNot4U2

I’m not surprised to hear about Gwenyth Paltrow. She’s probably JEALOUS of Scarlett because she’s younger, prettier and more talented.

  • accept the truth

she still has more money than all of you who are talking shit.

  • Fast ed

Adorable in Glasses I’ll bet !!

  • The Disciple

shes a slut. plain and simple she dates a guy and dumps him to get new lyrics for her songs cause she has no talent and cant make songs otherwise.

her humanitarian work is just a publicity stunt like 99% of celebs especially her to cover up her slutty bitch ass.

also WTF do tattoo’s have to do anything with charities and humaitarian crap? nothing

  • BlogZilla

Under contract I can’t mention names, but I’ve worked with A-List actors who have some of the foulest mouths ever. You would never suspect that of them though. Also, many directors are notorious for being tempestuous, demanding and impatient. They are like time pressure cookers waiting for their lids to pop off. But that is understandable considering the kind of B.S. they have to deal with constantly. They are under a lot of pressure.

  • BlogZilla

They may be tempestuous and spoiled, but who made them that way? Hello?

  • James Nimmons

“Swift likes to write song lyrics and messages to fans on her arms during concerts, but you’ll never see a real tattoo on the star.

Reasons for this can be found in her humanitarian work. She supports many relief funds including natural disaster relief fund and charities for sick children.

It wouldn’t look good if she turned up all tattooed on some charity event. Also, this speaks to her efforts to steer at least some of out youth in the right direction.” really you get to decide whats the right direction? fuck you!

  • Dannyo

God s she Gorgeous!..And pardon my language… But i’d love to eat her Ass out!!.. :)

  • squatty

#11: she likes dildos in her butt

  • Mark Webber

Low self esteem? Famous, influencial, good looking and rich? Nope, just can’t stand the bulls**t. The reason most of us who could pull off the celebrity crap chose to work for a living. Lucky some of these people don’t go violently insane.

  • twelsh36446

Huge farm that was over 11 aqres mao. Man that’s nothing but a hobby farm where I come from

  • Sam Randrup

    taylor shit

  • laguna

She still isnt much of a singer. Or guitar player etc.

  • Jeanne

She still isn’t a talented singer. Her songs all sound the same. If she went on The Voice, none of them would turn around. She definitely has a good agent and PR person to be able to make what she does with the sing song lyrics she sings like any person in a choir who should not be singing solo.

  • JDinSD

Swift owns a airplane? Look on the Barnstormers websight and you will find lots of airplanes for sale for under 20 thousand dollars. Its not that big of a deal. The big question is, can she fly her airplane?

  • naoma

I know someone who has met James Cameron (she went on a deep sea dive with him and his crew) and she said he was a fine gentleman. I believe her.

  • Cheyenne

“at least some of our youth in the right direction?” Because having tattoos is of course the wrong direction and being in your twenties and dating a new guy every week and bashing them like an insecure teenage girl is the right direction? You are why humans are terrible. To judge somebody for the art work that they choose to cover themselves in is absolutely ludicrous. What somebody looks like does not affect ANY BODY but themselves. Instead lets judge people on what they are saying and doing to see if they are going in the “right” direction.

    • sarakatz

Tattoos make people look like losers.

    • jeanie

Mostly tatoos are not accepted… though, more so… just say’n…

    • shande123

So, putting artwork on your body when two mirrors are needed to be able to see it, and holding others hostage displaying it in their face sure seems like it is there for the attention it is expected to receive or to maybe make a point? I do think it’s there to “say something” about you, so don’t be all offended when someone judges you on what your artwork is “saying” I may think my fat elderly grandma looks beautiful in her bathing suit, but I don’t walk around with her pictures taped to my back so you can enjoy them while behind me in an elevator. That would be rude.
If they had ink that only the wearer could see… no one would have a tattoo.

  • skippyxxx

didn’t paul gauguin start out as a shitty tattoo artist?

  • Guest

If she came from a family of bank presidents, who own a huge Christmas tree lot, then why can they not buy her a pair of eyeglasses when she was younger. Sounds contradictory to me.

  • Guesty Gest

“It wouldn’t look good if she turned up all tattooed on some charity
event. Also, this speaks to her efforts to steer at least some of out
    youth in the right direction.”

This is just plain stupid. What, people with tattoos can’t be nice and accomplished?

    • sarakatz

      No.

  • kitty lover

her songs that I have heard are all whiny. I am not a fan of hers.

  • Roger H. Werner

Swift exemplifies most celebrities. They are over paid cry babies who aren’t worth 10% of their net worth. A week on the streets would teach this woman a lesson she’d never forget and that is what she deserves.

  • Laurence Almand

Why does our society publicize such basically worthless characters, and ignore the millions of people who make worthwhile contributions to society? Because the worthwhile people aren’t publiczed?

    • yourboss

Pretty much. I never understood why our media is obsessed with us worshiping mostly idiots lol

  • sarakatz

She’s so unique and beautiful, I really like her style, she’s different and not in a freak show kind of way like so many of the others. Just because you’re in the music business shouldn’t mean you have to look and act like a low life tattooed up freak.

    • jeanie

Thank you for stating that. Most posts about Taylor are negative. I think she is a wonderful role model… from her costumes, clothes, outfits- always classy… not vulgar… She’s a real lady! I hope she never changes!

  • jeanie

    11 acres… really? That’s not a big tree farm. A big tree farm… is… 100 acres!

  • jeanie

Most of the posts below sound jealous of her…. why not just be happy for others who are successful… someone, well, quite a few someone’s like her music… she made it on her own, at such a young age — that’s worth congratulating!

  • Pat McNees

Who cares? I just wanna bang her tight lil pooter!

  • bobby bobby

wow she looks so hot in that picture!

  • bobby bobby

I don’t like tatteos myself but if that’s what your in to more power to you. I don’t see why some people make such a big deal about what someone else is doing to themselves. It’s not like they are hurting anyone

  • Naoma Foreman

Cannot BEAR Jennifer Anniston — seems like every time one of those gossip mags hits the stand “old” Jennifer is “engaged”, “getting married,” or “pregnant.” Get a life Jen — you have not had one since Brad Pitt dumped you. And you are getting OLDER EVERY DAY!
