Roger Lloyd-Pack, cherished British actor died last night, January 15. At the age of 69, he lost his battle against pancreatic cancer.
Roger was one of the most recognised crew-members of the cult British sitcom Only Fools And Horses, playing the role of dumb road sweeper Trigger. Along with Sir David Jason – Del Boy, Roger appeared in all seven seasons of the BBC sitcom.
He also had a role in another famous comedy show, The Vicar Of Dibley, starring with Dawn French.
In 2005, Roger reached wider audiences in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie, where he played Barty Crouch.
Sir David Jason, his colleague from the days of Only Fools and Horses said, “I was very saddened to hear of Roger’s passing. He was a very quiet, kind and unassuming actor who was a pleasure to work with. Although he played the simple soul of Trigger in Only Fools And Horses, he was a very intelligent man and a very fine actor capable of many roles.”
Rest in peace Roger Lloyd-Pack, you will be missed.
