The difference between Shania and most of the other people on this list is that she left the limelight on purpose. She wanted to focus on her family and after being so successful, she kind of wanted a break from all of it.
Shania is one of the best selling country artists of all time and she is probably the person who is most responsible for successfully taking country music into the mainstream. She did return recently to play some concerts again, and of course, they were all sold out, because she’s still a huge star.
However, it seems that she is content with not being in the tabloids anymore and doesn’t really have intentions of trying to come back and compete with younger stars for radio play. Certainly, she has enough money in the bank to not have to sing or record a single note ever again.
