5. Chris Tucker

Chris Tucker was one of the most promising young comedians when he first started. After he was discovered, he made several high-profile movies, most notably the 1995 Friday alongside Ice Cube and three movies of the Rush Hour franchise.

He also did a number of smaller parts and it looked like he was going to be really big, like Eddie Murphy-big. His salary for Rush Hour 3 was $25 million, which is A-lister money. However, he did not reprise his role in the two subsequent Friday movies (but he did star in all Rush Hour movies, though) and he kind of just fell of the radar.

Tucker was born in Atlanta and moved to Los Angeles to become an actor and a comedian. He was frequently featured on Def Comedy Jam and his breakthrough role was in House Party 3
