Living on the edge of existence is not something that only stars from America have gone through. Action director John Woo was living on the streets of Hong Kong with his entire family at one point when he was a very small child. His family had some very bad luck. A major fire destroyed their home and left 50,000 other people living in that area without homes.
He and his family then spent the next year picking up the pieces and lived on the streets until they were able to find a new home. Woo went on to experience huge success in Hollywood as one of the leading action directions of this generation. He had some huge hits like Mission Impossible 2 and Broken Arrow.
However, the greatest fight he ever fought was the fight to get off the streets with his family. Now he can enjoy his life behind the camera watching actors fight each other on film.
