You would be forgiven for thinking you were seeing double when you set eyes on these glamorous models and fabulous Playboy Playmates – they’re identically gorgeous in every way. They are glamour models and were actresses at one point.

In 2008, the Shannon sisters moved into the Playboy Mansion as two of Hugh Hefner’s three brand new girlfriends. Because of their strong relationship with the master of the home, Hefner, the Shannons began appearing on the E! network reality television series The Girls Next Door. They both say that the relationship with him was more fun and dynamic than what we could see on the show. According to them, it wasn’t a romance as we know it.

The first episode they appeared in attracted more than 2.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched season premiere in the its history but only five weeks in the show, ratings had dropped to 919,000.

They also appeared as Miss July and Miss August 2009 in the combined “summer issue” of Playboy magazine. The double issue was chosen due to financial problems of the publisher. Unlike other previous centerfold twins, they managed to earn two consecutive months as Playmates, but shared a single centerfold.

By January 2010, the Shannon twins moved out of the house, though they continued to appear in The Girls Next Door.

The twins also had small roles in Somewhere, a film directed by Sofia Coppola which won top honors at the 67th Venice International Film Festival in 2010.

In the same year, Karissa Shannon draw attention to herself by confirming she had been in sex tapes with Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. Later on, one sex tape of her and her boyfriend actor Sam Jones III was released on DVD by Vivid Entertainment in October 2010 as Karissa Shannon Superstar. In 2011, Karissa and Sam Jones III released not that popular song Juice and Vodka.

They appeared on a UK reality show, Celebrity Big Brother and came in 5^th on the companion series to the said show, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
