Famous rapper, real name Raymond Scott, was hospitalized after being hit in the shoulder as he rode in the funeral procession in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on Saturday, March 29th.

Gai Scott, was arrested and charged with armed assault with intent to murder. He was also arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Monday, March 31st.

Scott’s lawyer, Jon Ciraulo, claimed the 36-year old actually fired the gun in self-defense. Gai was remanded in custody without bail, waiting a hearing for the possible danger he poses to society on Wednesday, April 2nd. Benzino has revealed also he had no intention of attending the burial in a bid to avoid any trouble related to family feud with his sister’s family.

The feud was about alleged misuse of their mother’s, now late, property and finances.

The rapper told the Boston Globe, “I looked over there was a car and all I saw was a gun shooting at me.”

He had been discharged from hospital, but did not name the shooter. He prefers the police to investigate the whole issue.

Police responding to the scene found the red SUV in the middle of Route 3 with bullet holes and a red brown substance believe to be blood inside the vehicle. Officials said shell casings and projectiles also were found at the scene.
