Beyoncé Opens Up About Elevator Fight

Superstar Beyoncé has opened up about the leaked footage of her younger sister Solange Knowles and Beyoncé’s husband, music mogul Jay Z’s elevator fight. The singer insists the famous family has now “worked through” the feud.

Fans were delirious on Monday, May 12 when surveillance camera footage was obtained by TMZ.com appeared to show Solange kicking and hitting Jay Z as they were leaving an after party at the Standard Hotel after New York’s Met Gala on May 5. At first, Beyoncé can’t be seen but seconds later she steps between her husband and her little sister to calm the situation.

Representatives for all of them refused to give any comments on the family feud after the black-and-white footage leaked online. However, executives at The Standard Hotel managed to find the employee responsible for the leaked video. The man was fired and there is a possibility to pursue legal action.

Solange’s big sister has now released a statement to the Associated Press to answer the gossip surrounding the family issue. Although she fails to give any details, she insists her husband and sister have made amends.

The statement reads: “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident.
But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.”

Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
