‘Central Perk’ To Open In NYC

Warner Brothers are opening a real ‘Central Perk’ coffee shop to celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the all-time best sitcom series ‘Friends’.

Do you remember that coffee shop where they spent their spare time and had many awkward conversations? We all know it’s not real. But, it will soon open in New York City.

‘Central Perk’ is the fictional coffee shop that was the venue for Phoebe‘s musical performances, the longest ever love story, and many of Chandler‘s witty lines. Now it is coming to New York City for real.

Warner Brothers announced that a pop-up replica of the ‘Central Perk’ coffee house will open at 199 Lafayette Street in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, from September 17 to October 18.

Fans will be served free coffee while they will be able to check out real props and sit on the legendary orange couch. Even Gunther, coffee house manager will be there, with special appearances from James Michael Tyler, the actor who played the blonde with a penchant for Rachel.

It will open its doors to the public on Wednesday, September 17, after a special media preview on Monday and Tuesday, September 15–16, and will be open until Saturday, October 18.
