Trevor Noah got into a controversy following many accusations of his activities on Twitter. Noah was announced to be the new host of The Daily Show following Jon Stewart’s departure. This led some people to dig through his Twitter history. What they found was a series of tweets many claim are offensive to Jews, women and atheists. Many people wanted to see Comedy Central reconsider hiring Noah after the scandal.

Comedy Central stands by it’s choice and defend Noah in a statement:
“Like many comedians, Trevor Noah pushes boundaries; he is provocative and spares no one, himself included. To judge him or his comedy based on a handful of jokes is unfair. Trevor is a talented comedian with a bright future at Comedy Central.”
