For the second time after getting sick, singer Lauryn Hill was forced to cancel a show on Friday at her native New Jersey.

The show was previously rescheduled from December, but the former The Fugees member reportedly came down with a stomach bug and didn’t have a choice but to scrap plans to perform at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank.

Hill’s representative said, “She came down with a stomach bug… and received medical attention… Her condition unfortunately did not improve for the performance. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Hill was seen performing a Beatles tribute on David Letterman’s talk show on Friday night, which caused some suspicion among her fans, but her team claimed the performance was taped earlier, before she fell ill.

They stated, “For clarity, her performance on The Tonight Show with David Letterman was pre-recorded on Thursday, not on Friday when it aired.”

Lauryn’s best known for her album Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and she’s been performing since the early 90s. She also had several of film roles including Here and Now in 1992, King of the Hill in 1993 and Restaurant in 1997.

Most recently she finished a stunt in jail for tax evasion, and has hit the limelight again with some new releases and the long-awaited upcoming new album.
