At the Grammy Awards on Sunday night many artists went home with more trophies than they could physically handle. Duos rocked the Grammys as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Daft Punk got nine trophies between them. How could they carry them all at the same time?

French stars Daft Punk were the absolute winners of this big night, as they took home five awards. One of them was Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Record of the Year for “Get Lucky” and Album of the Year for Random Access Memories. On the other hand, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were behind just a bit, claiming four wins, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album for The Heist.

They also performed the 56th Grammys’ most amazing set, and teamed up with Madonna and Mary Lambert for a presentation of the gay rights hymn, as Queen Latifah had a big announcement – a wedding ceremony for 33 gay, straight and interracial couples in the aisles of the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

This night was special for Paul McCartney as well as he shared the Best Rock Song award with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic & Pat Smear, his “Cut Me Some Slack” co-workers. He also shared the success of his “Live Kisses” and “Wings Over America” projects, which got three more awards between them. Another award he got was a Lifetime Achievement Award for his part in the Beatles.
The award for Producer of the Year went to Pharrell Williams. He took home four prizes, thanks to his collaboration with Daft Punk.

Justin Timberlake won three awards, while Lorde, the New Zealand teenager, had an amazing night during the show when her song “Royals” was named Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year.
