Estranged Hollywood couple, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have made their first appearance together in a year, but only to support director Steven Soderbergh’s new off-Broadway play.

The now-former couple separated in 2013 after 13 years of marriage. There are, however, some reports saying they will probably give their marriage a second chance.

The two made a rare public outing at the opening night performance of Soderbergh’s production The Library at the Public Theatre on Tuesday, April 15.

The two have worked with the acclaimed filmmaker in the past. They both even starred in his Traffic, and the Welsh beauty starred in Ocean’s Twelve and Side Effect.

Douglas worked with him on Haywire and Behind the Candelabra.

The actress, 44-year old, and the actor, 69-year old, have been seen together in recent months, but this marked the first time they attended an official event since separating.

The couple most recently stepped out on April 5 when they were honored at the Windward School in L.A.

They are parents to son Dylan, 13-year old, and daughter Carys, 10-year old, and have always remained hopeful that they would be able to reconcile their differences.

Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the end,” Douglas said on The Tonight Show. “I’m very hopeful.
