Zac-Efron

The Star Wars chronicle is about to get a new actor. In an interview, Zac Efron confirmed that he’s in talks to join the new installment of the popular saga.

The star of High School Musical is one of a few young actors who are being considered by Disney executives for the latest sci-fi reboot.

During an interview with the MTV News reporter Josh Horowitz, Efron and his That Awkward Moment co-stars Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller were asked who out of the three would be “most likely to be in a Star Wars movie”. Then, Efron reluctantly admitted he’s already negotiating.

Efron stated, “Yeah, I just went and met with Disney executives. So I don’t know. It would be cool. I love the Star Wars movies I love them, but who knows?”

However, Efron’s not the only surprise for the Star Wars: Episode II, since director J.J. Abrams confirmed that Breaking Bad celebrity Jesse Plemons is also considered for a main role.

What’s more, Abrams revealed that the original crew including Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford is all onboard to return.

The first of the three new installments of the movie saga is scheduled to appear in cinemas in December 2015.
