It seems that a lot of people have forgotten the “live and let live” golden rule. DeGeneres came out as a lesbian in 1997, and her career suffered a downfall during that period. She describes the period as “depressing,” and said that her relationship with Anne Hache helped her a great bit.
She is currently in a relationship with Portia de Rossi. After same-sex marriage was finally allowed in California, they got engaged and are now a happy, little, out-of-the-ordinary family. They don’t have any kids yet, but they share their Beverly Hills roof with their four dogs and three cats.
