The stunningly beautiful Indian-born American cookbook author, actress, model, television host, and executive producer is yet another mother who failed to find long-lasting happiness in her marriage with Indian novelist Salman Rushdie. Even though they started out well, and Padma was even the model for one of his books, Fury (which is dedicated to her as well), they filed for divorce in 2007.
To everyone’s surprise, Padma gave birth to a girl named Krishna in February 2010. Not only was it surprising because there weren’t even rumors about her dating or seeing anyone, but because she also struggled with endometriosis, a disease which often leads to infertility. What makes things even more enigmatic is that the child’s father still remains unknown. On a brighter note, Padma seems to be an awesome mother and is devoted to raising the child on her own.
