18. The Gosselin Family
In the beginning, the Gosselins seemed like your average American family taking care of twins and sextuplets, but it appears that their lives slowly but surely progressed toward something they couldn’t handle – well, at least Jon, the father, couldn’t; the mother, Kate, seems perfectly happy with the fame that her eight children brought her.
In a wacky setting, we had a chance to see how the lives of common parents were transformed when they were faced with the constant, everyday needs of 8 children, and the needs of the millions of people watching the show. Needless to say, the show became pretty popular, with the fifth season premiere seen by a record 9.8 million viewers. Jon and Kate are split now, so Kate probably has a lot more work on her hands, dealing with the kids solo.
