Singer Bruno Mars with the rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked the Super Bowl half-time set on Sunday. They brought thousands of fans to their feet in the New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

A moving platform carried 28-year old singer from the center of the field through the army of fans and onto the main stage where he joined The Hooligans for the song “Locked Out of Heaven”.

Before introducing the California rockers to the stage, Bruno also performed “Treasure” and “Runaway Baby”.

Even though the temperatures in New Jersey were absolutely freezing, frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea came out shirtless as they sang their hit “Give it Away”. Mars and his band soon joined the Peppers and they performed the rest of band’s 1991 hit together.

A moving moment came when Red Hot Chili Peppers left the stage, and a video montage of men and women from the US Armed forces was shown, sending personalized messages to their beloved ones back home. The video was followed by a touching version of “Just The Way You Are”.

The performance was brought to a spectacular end by a huge firework display.

And by the way, the Seattle Seahawks crushed Denver Broncos with 43-8.
