7. John Cleese and Jennifer Wade

John Cleese is one of the most brilliant English actors and comedians of all times. He co-founded Monty Python in the late 1960s with Graham Chapman, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. The comedy troupe wrote and performed everything in the sketch show ‘’Monty Python’s Flying Circus’’ and in four Monty Python films: ‘’And Now for Something Completely Different’’, ‘’Monty Python and the Holy Grail’’, ‘’Life of Brian’’ and ‘’The Meaning of Life.’’

Cleese also had roles in the James Bond films and two Harry Potter movies.

He was married four times and he is 31 years older than his current wife Jennifer Wade.

His previous three divorces have cost him around $25 million; however, Cleese doesn’t seem to be disillusioned about marriage.

I never felt there was anything wrong with the institution of marriage – the only thing wrong was my ability to choose the right person. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone other than Jenny now. And with my record, that’s a pretty remarkable thing to say.”

Wade continued: “We’re kindred spirits. When people see us together, they immediately get it.

The couple married in a romantic ceremony on the Caribbean island of Mystique.

“I knew from the first moment I met her that this could be something very serious,” Cleese said. “She is an extraordinary one-off.

Terry Gilliam said: “If he does [marry], he is stupid. John has been married already three times and each time to the same woman. They always seem to be blonde, American; the only difference is that each time they get younger and younger.

However, there seems to be no reason for worry this time since Wade is born in Britain.
Besides, when she divorced her first husband, Wade told the Daily Telegraph: “My lawyer said he wanted to put up a photograph of me in his office with a sign above it saying, ‘The woman who took nothing’.”

It seems as though the fourth time’s a charm for Cleese.
