Best Grammy’s 2015 Moments (Kanye’s Rudeness Included)

A lot of fun stuff happened at the Grammys this year, and of course, Kanye West was heavily involved in the antics. The biggest winner of the night was definitely Sam Smith, you took home four trophies.

Kanye probably had the funniest moment. Well, some thought that he was funny, others thought that he was trying to hard and being an attention-seeker once again. It happened when Beck, much to the surprise of a lot of people, ended up winning the Album of the Year Award. Kanye pretended that he was going to go and interrupt his speech, like he previously did to Taylor Swift.

But he kind of just faked it and got back off stage. Obama was there too. So was Kim Kardashian, of course. And of the performances. Pharrell’s “Happy” was pretty cool, but we are already tired of that song, aren’t we?

The biggest surprise was when Prince showed up on stage and gave a speech.

Albums still matter, black lives still matter.

Obama was there, featured via satellite link-up where he called for an end to rape. It was well done.

Kim Kardashian was dressed as Nature Boy Ric Flair. Why was she there again? Oh, yes, to kiss Kanye in front of photographers.

Pharrell Williams performed ‘Happy’ like a man who has performed ‘Happy’ 10,000 times. Can you even imagine what he thinks about that song? He might as well feel sorry for making the monster.

Joy Villa wore a ridiculous dress made out of high-vis snow fencing. It wasn’t cute, but it’s the red carpet, it’s not supposed to be cute.

Sir Paul McCartney got caught dad dancing to ELO. He was taken by the moment. And he sat down, obviously embarrassed.

Beck won Album of the Year, surprisingly.

Madonna wore a costume from some scary anime.

Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus had a little touchy feely moment, when they both grabbed each other’s boob.

And now back to Kanye to actually convinced us he developed some sense of humor. This is his speech, so you can be the judge:

I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more. “Flawless,” Beyoncé video. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé and at this point, we tired of it. Because what happens is when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day. And they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place. Then they do this whole promotional event, that, you know, they’ll run the music over somebody’s speech, the artist, because they want a commercial advertising. Like no, we not playing with them no more. And by the way, I got my wife, I got my daughter, and I got my clothing line so I’m not going to do nothing to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That’s the reason why I didn’t say anything tonight. But y’all know what it meant when ‘Ye walked on the stage.
