CeeLo Green Quits The Voice!

CeeLo Green has confirmed that he’s not coming back to The Voice after being a judge on the singing competition since 2011.

The singer has already left the show once in 2013, along with fellow judge Christina Aguilera, but they both returned for season five.

However, Green has now officially confirmed that he’s not coming back to the judging panel for season six.

He told a shocked Ellen DeGeneres, “I’m not coming back guys… I’m not coming back at all… I don’t want to wear out my welcome there. You know what I’m saying. I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album.”

Besides working on a new record, Green is about to head out on a joint tour with Lionel Richie.

He added, “I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year.”

“CeeLo Green has been an instrumental part of the success of The Voice and we deeply appreciate all his contributions,” said NBC reality TV chief Paul Telegdy.

“We’re looking forward to working with him on other upcoming projects that will tap into both his musical and entertainment expertise,” Paul added.
