Just four months after the dreadful terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and injured over 350, another terror strike has shaken Western Europe. This time, Brussels was the target. A series of explosions at the Brussels Zaventem airport and Maelbeek metro station in the center of the city killed at least 30 people and wounded more than 100. One of the blasts at the airport is believed to have been a suicide bombing.
In the hours following the attacks, the hashtags #JeSuisBruxelles, #PrayforBrussels, and #PrayforPeace began trending and many celebrities took to social media to express their sympathies for the victims, as well as their sorrow and outrage that such horrible events happened yet again.
Here are their reactions:
Terrible news from Brussels. Praying for the victims and their families. Horrible.

#PrayForUsAll Terrorism is one of the scariest things. It does not function like anything else in this world. The Dalai Lama once said “love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” The world falls to its knees yet again over terrorism 💔 #PrayForBrussels #PrayForPeace #PrayForUsAll
