After a recent arrest of the four people connected to the death of the actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, three of them are being charged for possession.

After finding Hoffman dead on Sunday at his New York apartment, on Tuesday, police gathered four suspects who might have played a part in supplying the actor with drugs.  It’s confirmed that Hoffman’s death was caused by a drug overdose.

After finding packets of heroin near the actor’s body, a witness stated that he saw two men sell the drugs to Hoffman near his apartment home in Manhattan.

So far, three of the men arrested answered to the drug charges before the court. One of them, Robert Vineberg, pleaded not guilty for felony. All four of them were charged with felony possession of heroin with intent to supply.

Ed Kraft, Vineberg’s attorney, told TMZ.com, “These charges have nothing to do with the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman.”

Two others were charged only for possession of cocaine, while the fourth guy was released due to a lack of evidence.

Further toxicology and tissue tests are to be carried out on the actor after the initial tests proved inconclusive.
