Guitarist Joe Perry, who is best known for his work in Aerosmith, collapsed on stage last night while performing with his new band Hollywood Vampires.
According to reports and from a tweet sent out by the supergroup’s official Twitter account, he is currently in stable condition at the hospital. Another legend who is part of the group, shock rocker Alice Cooper, tweeted out the same information, adding that the celebrity guitar player’s family and friends are with him and that he is getting the best care possible.
Some have commented that Perry, who has a long history of substance abuse, was looking skinny and frail.. As many know, he and Aerosmith bandmateSteven Tyler were once known as the “toxic twins” because of their penchants for drug abuse back in the 1970s.
However, Perry has been clean for a very long time, so it’s probably some other type of health problem that he is going through right now. People who were at the show have tweeted and posted on Facebook that Perry looked ill from the start of the Brooklyn concert, and that he was constantly going off stage to get help from medics.
Joe Perry is stable and resting. His brother Vampires and fans wish him a speedy recovery.
