Troubled pop singer Miley Cyrus has taken to her Twitter.com page to dismiss rumors about the onstage rant she made, and to explain she was not taking aim at her ex-fiancé during a show in London on Friday, May 9.

Rumor has it the star actually revealed she wrote the lyrics for her hit song Wrecking Ball in a bid to seek revenge on a former partner at G-A-Y.

She said, “I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say ‘f**k you’. I wanted to write a number one hit, something that would be on the radio. I wanted to make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life.”

The remarks made many believe she was talking about actor Liam Hemsworth, who split from the singer in 2013.

However, the singer is making it clear that she was not thinking about him when she raged onstage in London.

She tweeted, “just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys.”

I don’t usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn’t something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant… I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turnttttt up (excited).”
