Rapper 2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, has been charged with felony drug possession related to his arrest in 2013.

Famous hip-hop star was busted while trying to board a plane at LAX airport in Los Angeles in June 2013.

Reportedly, custom officers discovered marijuana and a prescription medication in his belongings.

According to official charging documents, the rapper was hit with one charge of codeine possession, which is the main ingredient in sizzurp. Possession of the drug is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.

According to TMZ.com, now, 10 months after being arrested, he has been charged.

The 36-year old rapper is looking to three years in prison if convicted. He should be in court later in April.

Before the arrest, 2 Chainz used his Twitter profile to set some rules and to explain or deny that anything happened at all, relating to allegations he was shot days before he was arrested.

He tweeted, “Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc.”

Second tweet came soon after, reading, “Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies.”

And the last one, “Rule #3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran, best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress.”

Even though he admitted he was enjoying San Francisco’s weed, sources say he was surprised.
