Robin Thicke’s Loving Stunts Without Success

1

It seems that Robin Thicke’s desperate pleas fell on deaf ears. After separating eight months ago, his estranged wife Paula Patton has filed for divorce.

She filed the papers last week in Los Angeles, according court documents first posted by TMZ. She cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Thicke and his estranged actress wife have known each other and dated since they were teens, finally tying the knot in 2005. In February, they announced that they had decided to separate and co-parent their son, Julian Fuego.

Ever since, Thicke made many attempts to win back Patton, making public apologies, writing songs and filming an uncomfortably intimate music video. He said that being caught was good for him, in a way.

I’m a man. I messed up, and I had to lie for a while. And then I stopped lying. And that was actually good for me, because I was tired of lying. So this whole album is me revealing everything.

However, she told Vanity Fair that their love is eternal.

We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there — always was, and always will be.
