Robin Williams’ Suicide May Be Connected With Lewy Body Dementia

As sources close to the Williams family claim, the much-loved comedian had been suffering from a disease called Lewy Body Dementia, which is associated with Parkinson’s disease, since it shares some of the same symptoms.

Apparently, people who suffer from this disease have to take medications that have significant side effects, among them hallucinations of people or things that are not there.

Williams’ wife did tell the authorities that the medications were making Robin feel strange and unwell and that he complained about them in the weeks and days before his suicide.

Lewy Body Dementia also causes depression, and the fact that Robin Williams was severely depressed was widely known. As TMZ reports, the actor’s own doctors are convinced that Lewy Body Dementia did play a significant role in his death.

Lewy Body Dementia is a condition characterized by abnormal deposits proteins called Lewy bodies in different parts of the brain.
