Seth Rogen Compares American Sniper To Nazi Propaganda Films

The latest in the line of Seth Rogen controversies is a tweet of his in which he compares this year’s sleeper hit American Sniper to Nazi propaganda movies from WWII.

It feels that the Canadian-born actor, writer and producer is all over the celebrity news these days, first thanks to the highly controversial movie The Interview and now with his Twitter outburst about a movie that has become a surprise hit of the winter season.

Seth Rogen wrote on Twitter:

“American Sniper kind of reminds me of the movie that’s showing in the third act of Inglorious Basterds.”

For those of you who haven’t seen Tarantino’s movie and those who forgot what Rogen is talking about, he is talking about a scene near the end of the movie where Nazi officials are watching a propaganda film that glorifies the German army and the Nazi party.

In short, Rogen is not among those who see the movie about real-life navy SEAL Chris Kyle as a particularly good one. In fact, he sees it as army propaganda and far too right-wing for his liking.
