Singer Solange Knowles is experiencing a boost in her sales in the U.S. after the infamous elevator fight with her brother-in-law, Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z.

At the beginning of May, surveillance camera video was obtained by TMZ.com. It appeared to feature the R&B singer fighting with the rapper and music mogul, as they were leaving a party at The Standard Hotel after New York’s Met Gala with her big sister and Jay Z.

They all have since spoken about the family incident, and insisted they have “worked through” the issues. This controversy, however, seems to have boosted Solange’s music career.

Her sales have surprisingly increased by 233 per cent.

Reports from Nielsen SoundScan for the week ending on May 18, the Losing You sales were at 2,000 downloads, up from 600 the week before.

Her last release was her 2012 EP, with the title True.

More on the family news, there are speculations about Carter-couple getting divorced this year. The rumors has it they couldn’t actually solve their family issues. They also took time to defend Solange against allegations that she is mentally unstable or suffers from heavy drinking.

This is what Jay Z and his wife had to say, “The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day, families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”
