Taylor Swift Goes Pop

1

Former country star Taylor Swift surprised her fans on Monday, August 18, when she officially turned to pop music. Her fifth album, ‘1989’, will be out in October, and she promises it will be like “nothing I had done”.

Her lead-off single, ‘Shake It Off’ is produced by the same masterminds who made her planetary hits ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’, so fans can expect a full pop package. The song came as a lesson she learned in 2-year period from her last album ‘Red’, as she stated.

People can say whatever they want about us, at any time. The only thing we can control is our reaction to that.

It was apparently a time of just limitless potential and the idea that you can do what you want, be who you want, wear what you want, love who you want and you get to decide where your life is going

She also said:

Bright colors, bold chances, rebellion. The idea of that was so inspiring to me — and the idea of endless possibility was a theme in the last year of my life.
