Do you remember Mýa’s 2011 album K.I.S.S.? Yeah, no one does. She probably heard it once or twice and that was that. In fact, when you start thinking about Mýa, one of the first things that come to your mind is “Is she still alive?” Yeah, she is. She is just not famous anymore.
Things looked very differently back in the early 2000s when Mýa looked like the next big recording sensation. Her first three albums were huge hits and she won the Grammy for Lady Marmalade with Lil’ Kim, Christina Aguilera and Pink.
She just lacked the staying power it seems. Also her foray into movies didn’t help much, with movies that didn’t really make it and that drove her into obscurity, if anything.
