Rapper Tyler the Creator has been arrested after allegedly provoking a riot at a South by Southwest festival gig when his showcase was cancelled due to fatal car accident outside the venue when a guy killed two people and injured more than 20.

He was reportedly planning to leave Austin when police caught him at the airport.

The rapper was caught on camera supporting fans to break down a barrier and enter the Scoot Inn, which was already full, where the alleged riot kicked off. However, we must admit we have no idea what his motives were.

Nevertheless, Tyler, whose real name’s Tyler Gregory Okonma, is facing a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Yet, his recent arrest is not a surprise, since the rapper has already been denied visas to travel to New Zealand in February due to his past troubles that included igniting violence at concerts. Back then officials suggested Tyler’s collective Odd Future were a “public threat.”

Okonma was charged with a class-A misdemeanor, a riot, due to the incident and following attack with injury to the bartender.
