After her first marriage ended in divorce in 1995, Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore couldn’t have imagined that she would meet the love of her life the following year. She first saw future husband Bart Freundlich on the set of The Myth of Fingerprints, and they immediately hit it off. The only problem? Bart is 9 years younger than her, and Moore doubted if their relationship could work out. Though we’re used to short-lived Hollywood marriages, the two proved everyone wrong, and have been together for almost 20 years now.
They got married in 2005 for the sake of their two lovely children and still seem incredibly happy and very much in love. Moore admitted to being worried about the age difference in the beginning, but also insisted that age is just a number. Here’s what she said about the age gap between them:
‘’Everything is an issue when you first meet somebody. Even just the fact that you’re dealing with a new person! It was an issue that he lived in New York at the time, and I lived in LA.
The issue was that he was younger and I was older. With all your differences you kind of think, is this going to work out? And then what happen is the relationship progresses and these things cease to be an issue anymore. And you do normal couple things.’’
