Given how fabulous Gabrielle Union looks, it’s hard to believe that her husband, basketball player Dwayne Wade, is exactly 10 years younger than her. Despite being together for five years, the press and social media have never been thrilled about their relationship and have repeatedly attacked Union because she is older than her beau.
Disregarding all the negative comments, the beautiful actress once said that dating younger men is the key to her youthful looks, flawless skin and perfect body. On another occasion, Union remarked that older women could become bitter and lonely because they refuse to give up control and stressed that she preferred younger guys. Here’s what she said:
“I think [women] struggle with giving power to men. My girlfriends and I are very independent. We’ve been doing it WELL on our own for a long time, and sometimes that’s hard to give up a little power — to sort of acquiesce to another person and let somebody else lead sometimes — or all the time. Men who are in our age range also have a lot of options, and maybe sometimes it’s easier to go younger with a lot less expectation.”
She may not sound romantic, but she’s one honest gal and she definitely knows what she wants.
