4. Cindy Crawford

Now, this one has an abundance of both beauty and brains. This supermodel dropped out of Northwestern University where she had a full ride and was studying chemical engineering. She decided instead to concentrate on her modeling career. But, her story could have been a much different one had she finished Northwestern.

Cindy is now 48-years-old and this successful model has been a TV and movie star and a spokeswoman. The hottie was named the highest paid model in 1995, and one of the hottest women of all times.

Cindy managed to change the American concept of beauty, which was dead-set on blonde, blue-eyed girls at the time, and made way for the then-forgotten brunettes. But, there’s more to her life than that: she’s discovered she’s of blue blood – a descendent of English middle ages nobility and a descendent of Charlemagne, the founder of 8th century Holy Roman Empire. How cool is that?

The Illinois-born model was the valedictorian at DeKalb High School, from which she graduated in 1984. At Northwestern University, she only attended one quarter and dropped out in order to take a chance at modeling.

She had previously been discovered by a photographer in high school, which pretty much set her path for her. Crawford moved to Manhattan in 1986, and rocketed sky-high to become one of the most famous models ever, and later used her entrepreneurship skills to publish numerous fitness videos.

She’s been married two times to two different men with the initials RG – Richard Gere (1991-1995) and Rande Gerber (from 1998). Not only was she a successful model with an astounding beauty and a brilliant mind – she is also an activist and a charity worker, especially in the field of helping children with leukemia, and has been actively financing dozens of other charities.

She is also a member of the Honorary Committee of the California Wildlife Center. So far, she has appeared in seven movies, and numerous TV shows.
