Katy Perry just made a very strange statement, we’re still not sure what to think about it. Check out what she told the AP:
I’m all about female empowerment and uplifting people’s spirits, and people finding their own voice with songs like `Roar’ and `Firework,’ so maybe there is no better person.
Over 110 million people tuned in to watch last years Super Bowl making the halftime show something that everybody wants. NFL reportedly asked Perry to pay for the privilege of performing, recognizing what a huge opportunity is this. An offer that Perry refused. This years Super Bowl will be held at University Phoenix Stadium, February 1.
I put my foot down very early in the courtship. I said, `Look guys, here’s where I draw a line in the sand…I want to be invited on my own merits and not with some fine print. I stuck to my position … I don’t even care if my contract leaks. … I have nothing to hide, basically.
