Rapper and actor Ice Cube has made some very selfish comments claiming that fans were voting for Vin Diesel and his late colleague Paul Walker as the MTV Movie Award’s Best On-Screen Duo out of “sympathy”, after losing to them on Sunday, April 13’s ceremony.

The rapper and his co-star Kevin Hart were nominees for their joint work, but the prize went to Walker, who tragically died in November 2013, and Diesel.

Paul was also honored during a special tribute hosted by his co-star Jordana Brewster at the blitzy event.

He believes fans were led by emotions and thus did not reward himself and Hart for their onstage chemistry.

He told USA Today that it was all “sympathy” vote for Walker, “We was robbed (sic). Shame on you MTV. We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period.

He added, “They should have gave it to him (Walker) before he passed away.

He also revealed that he had planned to go home shortly after arriving to watch a basketball game.

He admitted, “I just wasn’t into it. I have been going in and out of these things (awards shows) for 25 years. If you ain’t (sic) into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave.”
