The Driver From J-Lo’s Rear-Ending Incident Finally Charged

92nd Street Y Presents: Jennifer Lopez In Conversation With Hoda Kotb

If you remember the Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini incident from September in Malibu, when they were rear-ended by a drunk man while they were driving with children, you’ll be happy to hear that the man is finally being charged for a DUI.

The incident took place on the Pacific Coast Highway on September 27. Lopez was in her brand new SUV with her best friend, King of Queens star Leah Remini, Jennifer’s six-year old twins and Remini’s ten year old daughter. The car was hit from behind by another car driven by an obviously inebriated person.

Now, after three months, the man, Robert John Reitz, 53, is being charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. If convicted, he could face up to six months in jail and a $,100 fine.

According to the witnesses and J-Lo herself, the man was obviously drunk when he rear-ended her car. And the police report shows that his blood alcohol was .15 percent.
