Everyone in the music industry still remembers the “Blurred Lines” case in which Pharrel Williams and Robin Thicke were foced to cough up more than $5 million after it was proven in court that they jacked the melody from an old Marvin Gaye tune.

Now it looks like Ed Sheeran might be in similar trouble. According to songwriters Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard, Sheeran’s huge hit“Photograph” is a rip off of a song that the two wrote for X Factor winner Matte Cardle back in 2009 called “Amazing.”

And they are taking the case to court. The bad news for Sheeran is that Richard Busche, the same lawyer that defeated Pharell and Thicke in court, is going to be representing Harrington and Leonard.

And according to the most recent reports, they are seeking a lot more money than Gaye’s family wanted for “Blurred Lines.” Apparently, they are going to be asking Sheeran to pay up to the tune of $20 million.

Check out “Photograph” and “Amazing” and let us know if you hear any similarities.
