Jimmy Fallon Injures His Hand Once Again

1

The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon had an accident last Saturday in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he was to receive the Elmer Award from the Harvard Lampoon. He was holding a bottle of Jagermeister when he fell, broke the bottle and cut his right hand on the glass. Four months ago, Fallon also sustained serious injury to his left hand, also due to a fall. He explains:

Some girl knelt down, I didn’t see her so I threw the bottle and landed on broken glass. There’s pools of blood everywhere.

It’s always refreshing to see a comedian being able to laugh at himself in this manner. Perhaps the most charming of all is the fact that, while he was talking about his injury on The Tonight Show, you could see the Sesame Street band-aids on his fingers. Briefly after the fall, Fallon continued to take pictures with fans, even before receiving medical help. The comedian posted a photograph of his injury on Instagram, captioning it:

Nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix.
